La Fouet

A JOURNEY TO THE SURREAL AND BIZARRE

She never had a fixed address. A citizen of the world she was born and grew up in a circus going from place to place based on the bizarre. She quickly learnt that fetishism is part of human genesis.

Her colleagues and friends ranged from the bearded lady to the show with the two-headed man … but Ruby had an innate talent to awaken her audience’s most remote fantasies.

On tour she met Jean de La Fouet, a high society French widower who she fell in love with and left the circus life. A dedicated regular of places of doubtful reputation, Jean de La Fouet was assaulted and murdered in an alleyway in Cais do Sodré leaving Ruby with his name.

Experienced and uninhibited, she frequented theatres and cabarets in the hope of being able to, once again, show off her talent, until she met me and offered me the show that was missing at Maxime.

Here she found a new home. Her performances are a journey by various personalities, all of them with a strong aspect of the surreal and bizarre. Her wardrobe and props reveal her essence for fetish, exposed by the name and personality that she passionately gives to each of her whips.
